When Friday rolls around at the end of the work week, I like to take a few minutes to just sketch something that makes me happy. I try to do it every Friday, and I’ll be posting them here.
Today’s Friday Sketch is my least favorite of the Ninja Turtles: Leo. I always preferred the others, especially Donnie and Raph, but Leo just never grabbed me as a “turtle I’d like to have a beer with.” So instead of casting him in his normal self-righteous leaderly poise, I figured I’d give him the bad attitude and generally dissatisfied mindset that life as mutant shunned from society who’s forced to live in a sewer and put up with his brothers’ antics (not to mention having to constantly dodge the murder attempts of psychotic villains and the ever-present Foot Clan) would probably instill in him.
It’s not that I don’t like you, Leo, you just always seemed too cool for school. Bring it down a notch.
